Help us with Food Donations

We have pet food donation collection bins at
Morrison's Erith
Morrison's Sidcup
Morrison's Welling

Any pet food donations are very welcome and we appreciate any help you can offer.

Get Involved

Animal Samaritans relies on the generosity of its supporters and volunteers. Donations in various forms help to cover:

· Veterinary fees for rescued animals as well as helping pet owners with the cost of medical expenses for their much-loved cats, dogs, rabbits and other small animals.

· The cost of inoculations and neutering, as well as microchipping if appropriate.

As well as money, an invaluable supply of pet food is donated at Morrison’s supermarkets in various locations.

These donations help us to continue our vital role within the communities in South East London and the South East of England.

We are raising money via the Wonderful Organisation, the UK’s only completely fee-free fundraising platform. This means we receive every penny from your generous donation.

Animal Samaritans is a ‘Wonderful‘ charity.

Rather than using paper-based sponsor forms and collecting donations from your sponsors which can take time, why not set up a ‘Wonderful’ page?

‘Wonderful’ is a website you can use to set up an online page to make and receive donations from family, friends and colleagues - it's simple and very easy to use.

‘Wonderful’ really is the easiest way to collect funds for Animal Samaritans. 100% of what you raise comes to Animal Samaritans and your sponsors can Gift Aid too.

To create your ‘Wonderful’ fundraising page for Animal Samaritans:

· go to Wonderful.org  'CLICK THE LOGO'

· Scroll down and select ‘create a fundraising page’ option.

· Follow the instructions on the page.

· Tell all your friends and start fundraising!

Leave a lasting Legacy

By including a gift to Animal Samaritans in your Will, you can make sure we’ll always be there to care for dogs, cats and small animals – whenever and wherever they need us.

Will making & Codicils

Will-making

Making a Will, or updating your existing Will, are two ways you can ensure that your money benefits the people or causes that you really care about.

To find out what you need to know visit the Law Society website.

Already made a Will?

Many people make a Will and assume that's all they need to do. However, circumstances can change over the years and so it is always advisable to take a fresh look at your Will every few years to ensure it meets your current needs.

Changing your Will

If you have already made your Will and decide that you would like to add a gift to Animal Samaritans, a codicil is a good, inexpensive way to do so. Adding a codicil to your Will enables you to leave a donation to Animal Samaritans whilst ensuring that the other provisions remain untouched and you won't have to pay for your Will to be completely rewritten.

Again, you should consult a Solicitor.

Volunteer

Animal Samaritans is run entirely by volunterers. We are always looking for new recruits. If you feel you could dedicate some of your spare time to help us, please contact us.

We are looking for...

Dog fosterers  - as we do not have a kenneling facility we rely on our dog fosterers who take dogs into their own homes. We desperately need dog fosterers in the South East London and North West Kent areas to help us cope with the huge amount of dogs we are asked to take in. To be a fosterer you must:

Do you have experience with dogs? Do you have daily access to a garden?  Do you have time to dedicate to a dog, cat or rabbit - we ask that fosterers do not leave the dogs for long periods every day

Animal Transporters  - We are looking for people who would be able to collect our animals and take them to our foster homes. In addition to this there may be occasions when our fosterers need assistance taking our animals to the vets etc. All expenses incurred in this role will be reimbursed by the charity.

Home checkers – Check suitablility of future forever homes. Do you know what is needed for a suitable home for an animal? Are you able to travel locally to visit potential forever homes for our animals?
